We’re big on skincare routines here at Minimis. The simpler the better in our books. But we’re also big on wellness, mental health and general wellbeing routines too.
The word “routine” can feel overwhelming, like we have a list of things we have to do before we start our day or before we go to bed at night. Instead, we like to think of these things we do for ourselves—especially our skincare—as self care rituals and things we get to do in order to take time and connect back with ourselves.
It only takes a few minutes and these things help keep us healthy and productive during the day and ensure we have the most restful sleep at night.
Minimis Founder’s, Annie and Jenny guide you through some ways they calm down their mornings and wind down in the evenings.
ANNIE’S AM ROUTINE
Morning rituals set the tone and the energy for the day. Even when I get out of the wrong side of the bed or the morning is rushed, things like a warm glass or lime and honey water and taking my supplements help turn the mood around and set me up for a productive day.
The morning rituals I can’t live without are:
Shower (essential to feel refreshed and ready to take on the day!)
A glass of warm lime water with honey
Take my supplements (probiotics, prebiotics and vitamins)

My morning face routine (skin and makeup)
My morning skincare routine:
- M01 The Cleanser for cleansing
- Rosewater spray for toning
- M02 The Hydrator for hydrating
- M03 The Moisturizer for moisturizing
- Face oil for additional moisturizing as I live in a pretty dry climate (currently using Etymologie Bakuchiol Rejuvenating Serum)
- M04 The Rejuvenator for locking in moisture and rejuvenating
- SPF is a must (currently using Zitsticka MEGASHADE Breakout-proof SPF Serum)
As we move into winter I also like to use more M03, face oil and M04, plus overnight mask if needed (a really nice product is Josh Rosebrook Advanced Hydration Mask)
JENNY’S PM ROUTINE
After a long day of work, I find the best way to wind down is to take a few minutes to stretch and before getting ready for bed. Stretching helps release tension after being hunched over behind a computer screen and allows me to step away from my phone and unwind.
My evening skincare routine:
- M01 The Cleanser to double-cleanse
- Rose water spray
- M02 The Hydrator for hydrating
- Vitamin C serum for brightening (currently using Scentuals Vitamin C Facial Serum)
- M03 The Moisturizer for moisturizing
- Face oil (currently using L’élixir De Manuka Clarifying Serum) combined with the Foreo UFO for better penetration and improved skin condition)
- M04 The Rejuvenator for locking in moisture
